As an American Heart Association Training Center, REMO has access to over one hundred AHA CPR Instructors that are in your community. We provide the highest level of patient care training available to providers of all backgrounds. Whether you are a baseball coach, nurse, paramedic or if you just have the desire to know what to do in an emergency, we can find the right class for you and your organization.  Below are some of the common courses required by many workplaces.

BLS Healthcare Provider

The American Heart Association’s BLS for Healthcare Providers Online Part 1 Course, Web-based and accessible 24 hours a day, provides a flexible alternative to classroom training. Through case-based scenarios, interactive activities and videos, this course teaches theconcepts of both single-rescuer and team basic life support. Learning (online lessons blended with hands-on skills session) It takes approximately 1-2 hours to complete Part 1.

• BLS Online Part 1. Upon successful completion of the online portion, including the written exam, students receive a Part 1 certificate of completion, which must be presented for parts 2 and 3.

• Part 2*, a hands-on skills practice session with an AHA ACLS Instructor

• Part 3*, a skills test with an AHA ACLS Instructor

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Classroom Course

The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Classroom Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. Initial Provider Course requires approximately 4.5 hours to complete, including skills practice and skills testing.  Renewal Course requires approximately 3.5 hours, including skills practice and skills testing.   *course time based on 1 instructor: 6 student: 2 manikins

ACLS Online Part I

HeartCode ACLS Part 1 is for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies, specifically those seeking an alternative (non-classroom) method for completing an initial or update ACLS Course.

HeartCode ACLS Part 1 requires prior knowledge that will be applied in using the ACLS treatment algorithms. Unprepared or inexperienced students may require additional time to complete HeartCode ACLS Part 1. To be successful in any ACLS course, students should be able to identify ECG rhythms and should know pharmacology specific to cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiopulmonary emergencies before beginning the course. It is strongly recommended that students review the ACLS course materials contained within the program and complete the Pre-course Self-Assessment prior to attempting the patient cases.

To receive an ACLS course completion card using this program, students must complete three parts:

PALS Online Part 1

HeartCode® PALS Part 1 is a web-based, self-directed program that teaches healthcare providers knowledge and skills needed to recognize and prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children.

This program uses AHA eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, students apply their knowledge to real-time decision-making and skills development. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation to facilitate learning about pediatric advanced life support.

• HeartCode PALS Part 1. Upon successful completion of the online portion, including the written exam, students receive a Part 1 certificate of completion, which must be presented for parts 2 and 3.

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Online is a self-directed course that uses interactive lessons and videos to teach you comprehensive First Aid, CPR, and AED knowledge. This program is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs an AHA course completion card.

  • Part 1, Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED online course
  • Part 2, a hands-on skills practice session with an authorized AHA Heartsaver Instructor or Heartsaver Skills Evaluator™ within 60 days
  • Part 3, a hands-on skills test with a REMO AHA Heartsaver Instructor or Heartsaver Skills Evaluator™ within 60 days

Heartsaver FIRST AID CPR AED Classroom Course

Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrives. Skills covered in this course include first aid; choking relief in adults, children, and infants; and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants.

This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.

This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.
