Course Information
This is an original course for currently certified NYS EMTs who are seeking to become Advanced EMTs (AEMT). EMT certifications must remain valid throughout the course.
Class Times: Mondays and Wednesdays, 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM
Location: REMO, 24 Madison Ave Extension, Albany, NY 12203

Practical Skills Exam: December 2nd, 2024

Affiliated student tuition - $1500
Unaffiliated student tuition - $1900
Course Materials/Registration Fee
Includes lab materials and print paperbook textbook (includes digital textbook and online access codes) - $397 (non-refundable)
Payment Information
All students must pay course tuition upon registration.

Time Commitment & Clinical Rotations
The course will meet twice a week, but students must dedicate time outside the classroom to complete homework, self-study, and clinical rotations. This is an intensive course designed to fit the Summer schedule. Students looking for a regular-paced course should sign up for a regular Spring/Fall EMT course.
Clinical rotations will occur outside of classroom hours. Students must be prepared to spend time outside the classroom to complete their clinical requirements.
All students must come in to the course with the support of an ALS agency that they will complete their clinical rotations with. Due at registration is a letter from anALS agency indicating that they will host the student for their ALS clinical rotations.
Prereqisites Due at Registration
Students MUST email the following to REMO (kkrings@remo-ems.com) when registering.
1. Proof of EMT-B certification that is valid throughout the entire course.
2. Letter from an ALS agency stating that they will host the student's clinical rotations.

Affiliated students are those who are members of NYS EMS Agencies (hospitals, urgent cares, doctors offices are not EMS agencies). Those who indicate that they are affiliated with an EMS agency must note which agency they are affiliated with. EMS agencies will verify membership.
