This is an original course for first-time EMT candidates.
Class Times: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30PM to 9:30PM

Registration Information
All students must pay course tuition upon registration.
Students who are affiliated are those who currently work or volunteer with an EMS agency. Hospitals, urgent cares, doctors offices, etc, are not EMS agencies.
Students who are unaffiliated are those who do not work or volunteer with an EMS agency. Hospitals, urgent cares, doctors offices, etc, are not EMS agencies.
EMS agencies can request an $950 reimbursement from the NYSDOH BEMS. In order for an EMS agency to be reimbursed for tuition paid, they must submit proof of the member's certification and the receipt for payment of the member's tuition for the course they completed. Time Commitment & Clinical Rotations
The course will meet twice a week, but students must dedicate time outside the classroom to complete homework, self-study, and clinical rotations.
Clinical rotations will occur outside of classroom hours, and students must be prepared to spend between 20 and 60 hours outside the classroom to complete their clinical requirements. Previous clinical rotation sites have included EMS agencies, hospital emergency departments (subject to hospital availability), and mass gathering events.
