Scholarship Details and Application
The Regional Emergency Medical Organization (REMO) Paramedic Scholarship Program provides financial assistance of up to $10,000 per recipient to support individuals pursuing initial Paramedic certification.
A total of four (4) scholarships will be awarded under this program:
• Two (2) scholarships for providers in the Hudson–Mohawk Region (Albany, Columbia, Greene, Rensselaer, Saratoga, & Schenectady Counties)
• Two (2) scholarships for providers in the Adirondack–Appalachian Region (Delaware, Fulton, Hamilton, Montgomery, Otsego & Schoharie Counties)
The program is designed to strengthen the EMS workforce within the Hudson–Mohawk and Adirondack–Appalachian Regions by reducing financial barriers to advanced EMS education.
Scholarship funds may be applied exclusively to tuition costs associated with a New York State–approved Paramedic education program.
Applications are now being accepted. Interested applicants need to submit their application by August 17th, 2026.

Regional Emergency Medical Organization
REMO consists of the Regional Emergency Medical Services Council of the Hudson Mohawk Valleys (REMSCO), the Regional Medical Advisory Committee (REMAC) and the Regional EMS Program Agency, operating in a six country region in the State of New York.
The REMO region
The 3500 square miles in the REMO region include the counties of Albany, Columbia, Greene, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Schenectady, serving a population, of over 860,000 people and coordinating an Emergency Medical Services System that answers 200,000 emergency medical calls annually.
