EMS Memorial service to be held at Empire State Plaza in Albany. A ceremony honoring EMS providers who made the ultimate sacrifice will be held starting at 11 am at the EMS Memorial Tree of Life. Details will be out soon. Note that the event was previously scheduled for Wednesday, May 21st (and may still be listed as such on the Bureau website), but it’s been moved to Thursday, May 22nd.

The national standard in acquiring an EKG on patients with chest pain is 10 minutes or less!! This is a very aggressive goal and one that All three interventional facilities are committed to. We have made great strides in achieving this but there is always room for improvement. This is where you can help!!! If there is a pre-hospital EKG in the patient’s record, then the goal is automatically achieved.
1) Please label EMS EKG with patient’s name and date of birth
(hand written, ED Label, or typed on 12-lead)
2) Hand EMS EKG over to the RN/MD receiving report

2008 EMS Night
Photography Competition. You must read the following rules, terms and conditions
before submitting any photos! AMC
Photo Contest Rules & Conditions. Digital images only, apparatus/ambulances,
action photos, scenes, station, education or public awareness. Entrants
must not submit images that involve actual patient's without thier written
consent or infringe on the rights of any other photographer or person. Photos
that have been digitally altered beyond standard optimization (removal of
dust, cropping, adjustments to color and contrast, etc.) will be disqualified.
Submit images to: Albany Med EMS.
